COE prices have breached yet another record. An eye-watering $150,000 for larger cars (Cat B) $102,000 for smaller cars (Cat A). The COE system was built 33 years ago as a way of controlling the car population in land-starved Singapore. But the current levels have led observers to question if the system is broken.
