The class will focus on how the multi-hyphenated artist has generated awareness and engagement in social and political ideologies. She is not the first performer to be the subject of a college-level course, with the recent one being Taylor Swift. ByteDance’s TikTok faces a deadline of Jan 19 to find a US buyer in order to continue operating in the country, and the Supreme Court has signalled it is unlikely to oppose the law imposing that condition. South Korean authorities arrested impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol on Wednesday (Jan 15) over insurrection accusations related to his martial law declaration.
