US President Joe Biden is in Israel to speak with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and to reaffirm solidarity with the country. Mr Biden was also supposed to meet the Jordanian, Egyptian and Palestinian Authority leaders in Amman to discuss aid and convey humanitarian concerns. But it fell through after Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas pulled out, to protest the deadly hospital attack in Gaza.
