Daily Cuts - Israel promises 'mighty vengeance' against Hamas

It’s been a shock for the Israelis on Saturday after Hamas successfully launched a surprise attack into Israeli towns near the Gaza strip. And since then, there have been exchanges of rockets between Hamas and the Israelis. It was described as the deadliest attack in Israel in decades. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is now vowing mighty vengeance and threatening to turn Gaza into a “deserted island”. He also went on to declare that the country is now ‘at war'. Dr James Dorsey is Adjunct Senior Fellow at the S Rajaratnam School of International Studies. He tells us what ‘state of war’ means for Israel.
