Woodford will discuss the film’s main themes like exploration of memory, trauma and intergenerational relationships. Informed by director Nicole Midori Woodford’s memories of her Japanese grandmother, the film follows teenager Ami as she traverses from Singapore to Japan in search of her vanishing mother.
