Chew Chun-Chau is the first Singaporean to be appointed Country Head at the Swedish defence company SAAB. But the 23-year navy veteran — who was also the first polytechnic graduate to be given a prestigious SAF scholarship — had to overcome significant financial and academic challenges in his youth, and worked in a factory at the age of 12 to supplement his income. He shares how many "angels" helped him along the way, and the wisdom of being "like a butterfly".
