Hundreds of pagers carried by Hezbollah members exploded simultaneously across Lebanon on Sept 17, a day after Israeli officials said they were ready to step up attacks against the Iranian-backed militia. Andrea Heng and Hairianto Diman speak to Dr Eyal Mayroz, Senior Lecturer, Peace and Conflict Studies, University of Sydney, to explore how Israel might have been able to implant the explosive material in the devices, and whether this incident will spark a bigger outward conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.
