Daily Cuts - Reviving Titoudao: The 30th Anniversary Celebration

Melanie Oliveiro finds out about the latest rendition of popular Singaporean production Titoudao which returns to the stage for its 30th anniversary – availing itself to a new generation of arts lovers. Staged by Toy Factory Productions, its founder, Titoudao playwright and director Goh Boon Teck will talk about how Titoudao was inspired by the life of his mother Mdm. Oon Ah Chiam, its TV adaptation, and how this year's production features an entirely new staging concept, costumes and a brand new cast. Lead actor Tan Rui Shan will also join in the conversation and discuss what the role demands and how rehearsals have been faring so far.
