In line with Singapore’s growing reputation as an E-sports hub, an international symposium organised by the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) is taking place on 22 September to discuss safety in e-sports and online gaming, particularly, the gamification of extremist views and hate speech. Asia First’s Arnold Gay and Andrea Heng speak with Dennis Ooi, President, (Singapore) Cybersports & Online Gaming Association about what needs to be done. They also speak with Dr Omer Ali Saifudeen, Head, Military Studies Minor, at the School of Humanities and Behavioural Sciences, SUSS to find out more.
