Polls are still showing former president Donald Trump in the lead, while Chris Christie left the race, leaving Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis to fight it out. We take stock of latest developments, including implications of Trump’s legal troubles, and look ahead at the upcoming state caucuses, beginning with Iowa’s which takes place on Monday (US time), the first of the Republican primary elections.
