Daily Cuts - S1E371: Singapore scouts witness the coronation of King Charles III

Over the weekend, the coronation of King Charles III took place. 400 young people representing charitable organizations were also invited to watch the coronation service and processions from inside St Margaret's Church, next to Westminster Abbey. Two of whom are from our Scout group! The ASEAN Summit will take place tomorrow in Labuan Bajo in Indonesia. It’s a 3-day meeting where leaders meet to discuss matters - from putting an end to human trafficking to signing of the Southeast Asia Nuclear Weapon Free Zone Protocol. But the likely topic to dominate the summit is the crisis in Myanmar. Daily Cuts - S1E369: Could cats finally be allowed in HDB homes?

A 34-year ban on keeping cats in HDB homes is finally being reconsidered. A survey conducted by the Animal & Veterinary Service showed that most respondents agree pet cats should be licensed and allowed in HDB flats. It also showed support for a proposal to sterilize and microchip our community cats to help manage the stray cat population. From June, more discussions on plans to allow cats as pets in HDB homes are set to take place. Our SGSecure responders are volunteers who are always on high alert to identify and offer help to people in distress.
