US president Joe Biden has wrapped up a two-day visit to Vietnam, as both countries upgraded ties to the highest level. Mr Biden said that this was not an attempt to contain China. However, Washington and Beijing are at odds on a range of global issues, and Mr Biden has accused China of wanting to reshape the international order to its will.
