Daily Cuts - Will we see the return of our TV shows and movies?
After about 150 days, the end of the writers' strike in Hollywood might come soon. The Writers Guild of America (WGA) and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers have reached a tentative agreement. But, the two parties are still drafting the final contract language. The WGA says the deal is exceptional – with meaningful gains and protections for writers in every sector of the membership. Asia First’s Arnold Gay and Andrea Heng spoke with Stephen Galloway, Dean of Chapman University’s Film school, who told them if this deal will be helpful in getting them to return to the negotiating table.
