This Mother’s Day, Paradise Group is inviting everyone to start a family tradition with its group of restaurants. It is offering diners special discounts of up to 20 per cent off the total food bill from May 6 to 12, 2019. The only thing left to do is to choose the right restaurant for Mum.
SEAFOOD PARADISE
As an island state, there is a lot of love given to seafood by locals. So it’s not surprising that the empire that is Paradise Group began with a humble eatery at Defu Lane and made a name for itself as Seafood Paradise.
Today, the space has grown considerably at the flagship store in Marina Bay Sands. The iconic location sets the scene for a very Singaporean ocean harvest delivered right to your plates. Giving the fare an additional edge are the many innovative touches the chefs have created for an international audience, with a focus on taste and visual presentation.
Singapore’s Famous Chilli Crab is on the menu, but another classic at Seafood Paradise is the Signature Creamy Butter Crab topped with Coconut Crumbs. With Hot Plate Tofu with Preserved Cai Xin, Baked Pork Belly Ribs with Honey Pepper Sauce, and Cheesy Bacon Roll to complete the surf and turf experience, no one in the family is left out at Seafood Paradise.
TASTE PARADISE
The award-winning Taste Paradise moved in 2009 from its intimate location in Chinatown to welcome a new era of grandeur at ION Orchard.
Taking cues from Cantonese cuisine, you’ll find a delicious array of dim sum during lunch hours. Popular items include the classic Steamed Prawn Dumpling as well as Steamed Shanghai Pork Dumpling. You can also find sophisticated dishes like the decadent Crispy Spring Roll with Peking Duck and Steamed Custard Bun with Pine Seeds.
The dinner menu is equally exquisite, and includes signatures like the beloved XO Carrot Cake and a rich Stir-fried Ramen with Lobster in XO sauce.
With gilded slates and a majestic oriental design, dining at Taste Paradise is a refined affair. All we are left with is to impress the empress at the table with our company.
CANTON PARADISE
Capturing both the buzz and taste of vibrant Hong Kong, Canton Paradise is a lively choice for a Mother’s Day meal. Established in 2012, there are now seven Canton Paradise restaurants in Singapore offering casual Cantonese fare paired with a convivial dining atmosphere.
Not only does Canton Paradise offer typical Hong Kong fare like roast meat, dim sum, congee and wanton noodles, it also offers specialty items from Shunde – reputed to be the birthplace of Cantonese cuisine – on the all-day menu as well.
We know mothers love their food fresh and piping hot, so they will particularly enjoy watching the chefs in action at the show kitchen as they stir up soups and marinate the roasts. This extensive show of food at affordable prices should please mothers, grandmothers, and even great-grandmothers alike.
PARADISE TEOCHEW
Teochew Paradise is helmed by executive chef Cheng Fa Kwan, who has over 35 years of expert culinary experience. With one outlet in Scotts Square and another at VivoCity, the restaurant boasts over 100 menu items featuring Teochew classics and original signatures.
Mothers of all ages will love how the menu focuses on invoking natural flavours from fresh ingredients. Highlights include the Chilled Yellow Roe Crab Teochew Style, Braised Trio Specialties that uses a master stock brought from Hong Kong, and yam favourites like the Teochew Style Stewed Duck with Yam in Casserole and Mashed Yam with Pumpkin.
PARADISE DYNASTY
If mum loves her epic Chinese dramas, why not treat her with a step back in time to Imperial China? At Paradise Dynasty, the whole family can enjoy fine Chinese cuisine from the north and the south in an opulent setting.
While items like Poached Sliced Fish in Szechuan Chilli and the silky La Mian are sure to satisfy, it’s the eight-flavour xiao long bao that gets diners really excited. There’s the original flavour, ginseng, foie gras, black truffle, crab roe, cheese, garlic and Szechuan. The biggest dilemma is deciding who at the table gets which flavour of the delicate soupy morsel, but that decision, at least on this occasion, lies with mum of course!
PARADISE CLASSIC
Formerly Paradise Inn, the classic Chinese dishes that are available here hit closer to home, as they come from the South-east Asia region. Paradise Inn offers local diners a taste of nostalgia, and its casual setting is ideal for those wanting a more informal family gathering.
Highlights from the menu include Espresso Pork Ribs, San Bei Beef in Claypot, Stewed Silver Needle Noodle with Salted Fish in Claypot, and Crispy Dried Fish with Sweet Thai Sauce. Paradise Classic balances tradition and innovation with a skilled hand, and these dishes are perfectly representative of Singapore's cultural melting pot. Don't forget to order a nutritious bowl of double-boiled soup and and a pot of fragrant floral tea for mum.

From May 6 to 12, Standard Chartered credit or debit cardmembers and PGR members enjoy 12 per cent off a la carte food items if there is one mum at the table; 15 per cent off if there are two; and 20 per cent off if there are three mums and above. This promotion is not valid in conjunction with other discounts, promotions, vouchers or membership privileges.
This promotion is valid at all Paradise Group of restaurants, except Beauty in The Pot, Canton Paradise (Changi Airport T3, Marina Bay Sands, The Seletar Mall and Westgate), Paradise Classic (Resorts World Sentosa), Paradise Dynasty (Changi Airport T3), Le Shrimp Ramen and LeNu outlets.
