5-cent coins still have value

While it may seem bothersome to the writer of the letter “Stop circulating 5-cent coins” (March 24) that five-cent coins are still being used, we must bear in mind the value of five cents to those who are not well off.

Our supermarkets are pricing quite a number of their products in a way that five cents still count.

Those who find it inconvenient to use the five-cent coins may want to consider donating them to charities. Steven Lee Thien Poh
