Digital TV: Viewer’s reception problems resolved

Mr Tiong Choon Hin related his experience accessing digital terrestrial television through a set-top box (“Teething issues in digital TV rollout need to be resolved”; June 28).

One of our engineers called him on the same day, offered troubleshooting assistance and ensured that Mr Tiong is now able to receive all Mediacorp channels.

The digital TV rollout, which started in 2013, now covers 87 per cent of households here and will be completed by year end. The switchover will see Singapore’s terrestrial TV system converted fully to digital channels and services by the end of next year.
