Facilitate checking of bus arrival times

I refer to “Ten bids submitted for Loyang Bus Package” (Aug 15) and hope the Government would include two requirements in awarding the tender.

One, that there is a board listing bus arrival times at every bus stop. Two, commuters should have the option of checking bus arrival times via SMS or other apps. Though SBS Transit has an IRIS app serving this purpose, my experience is that the service is often unavailable due to maintenance or an error message stating “no prediction”.
