Jobseekers, employers can tap Careers Connect for help

We acknowledge Dr Chua Shunjie’s point that certain employers are conducting their initial interviews with jobseekers remotely (Provide training, place for remote job interviews; July 25).

Workforce Singapore (WSG) has always encouraged jobseekers to adapt to changing recruitment practices, and part of this is preparing for different interview modes.

WSG’s Careers Connect coaches work with registered jobseekers to prepare them for different scenarios and types of interviews.

Our coaches also help our jobseekers to understand their personality profiles, skill sets and strengths to identify career interests and suitable job opportunities, and guide them through their interactions with potential employers, from resume preparation to attending interviews.

For employers who prefer or accept remote interviews, Careers Connect can provide private interview rooms equipped with telephone lines for our jobseekers to peruse, if they wish to tap our facilities.
