Revert to issuing notice for undelivered registered mail

In the past few months, I have noticed that I did not receive any delivery advice for my registered mail when there was nobody at home to collect the mail.

I have to check the SingPost website to find out that the mail is ready for collection at the post office. This has happened thrice and I wonder now if I have missed other registered mail addressed to me.

If one is sent mail without being informed, one would not have the tracking number and would not know if one has missed any mail. What is the point of opting for registered mail in this case?

An officer at the post office in my neighbourhood advised me merely to use the Internet to track my registered items.

SingPost should revert to the protocol for registered mail and issue the delivery advice.
