While space constraints and competing land use requirements have limited the space available for golf courses, the government recognises that it is important for the public to have continued access to the sport and is looking at expanding options by which to do so. Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Culture, Community and Youth Eric Chua said this in parliament on Friday (Feb 28). Replying to an MP’s question, he stated that Sport Singapore works closely with the Singapore Golf Association to promote and develop the sport of golf in Singapore.
