In ‘Made in SG’ – and in the run up to World Autism Awareness Day on 2nd April, Melanie Oliveiro speaks with Singaporean author, Tan Hwee Peng, about her book, "How To Be a Neuroaffirmative Parent". Tan will discuss the book’s core principles of neuroaffirmative parenting which include normalising neurodiversity, focusing on strengths, and advocating for the child/teen. Tan will also highlight specific issues like bullying, food sensitivities, and future planning. She will also talk about the joys, learning journeys and challenges bringing up her neurodivergent son.
