The recent launch of Malaysia’s Silicon Vision – an initiative unveiled by the Ministry of Economy in collaboration with British chip giant Arm Holdings – signals a new era in semiconductor and AI chip manufacturing. The Southeast Asian nation is paying US$250 million over a decade to receive support from the British company in terms of chip designs and other technology.
