Economists surveyed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) have raised their median forecast for 2025 gross domestic product growth to 2.4 per cent, reflecting stronger-than-expected momentum in the first half of the year. But economists anticipate growth to slow to around 1.9 per cent in 2026, hinting at more subdued momentum ahead. Andrea Heng breaks down what this means for the different sectors and how policies might evolve in response.
