Daily Cuts - How dangerous is it to be riding your motorbike?

Data from traffic police shows more people died or were injured due to traffic accidents, with nearly 4,500 casualties recorded in the first half of this year. That's 17% more from the same period last year. And almost half of those who died on the road are motorcyclists and pillion riders. Daily Cuts - Why are arcade games so addictive?

There have been some concerns that more youths are spending too much time – and money – on arcade games. They’re spending hundreds of dollars in order to win some pretty high-end prizes. One 13-year-old girl apparently spends over two thousand dollars a month on arcade games! Chai Bin Hua is a counsellor at WeCare. He says some games can be pretty similar to gambling, and he also shares what makes arcades addictive.

Daily Cuts - First Inline Speed Skating team at the Asian Games!

The Hangzhou Asian Games will be taking place from 23rd September to 8th October. 431 of our athletes will be heading there to compete across 32 sports. It’s Singapore's largest delegation to an Asian Games in history. It’s also unique this year because there are new sports added as part of the ‘urban sports’ category. Ryan Chua is one of the 431 athletes heading to Hangzhou. He’s an Inline Speed Skating National Athlete. Shermaine Lim is the Asian Games Team Manager and Secretary-General of the Singapore Rollersports Federation (SRF). They share how exciting this inclusion is for them.
