Nepalese army takes control after two days of deadly protests
Nepali forces have taken control of security in the Himalayan nation, after days of violent protests left at least 25 dead and more than 600 injured. Armed soldiers are now stationed around the fire-ravaged parliament building, which protesters torched yesterday. A spokesperson for the Lower House said the blaze destroyed the entire facility. Armoured vehicles were seen patrolling deserted streets as shops and markets remained shut. Meanwhile, Kathmandu's international airport is reportedly set to resume flights tonight. Pooja Pant reports from Kathmandu.
