Committee of Supply 2025 debate, Day 2: Liang Eng Hwa on ASEAN's centrality and relevance

Countries in the region are understandably worried and evaluating the implications under a new geopolitical landscape with more intense global contestation. ASEAN has also had to manage its relationship with the new US administration and interrelated to that is the new dynamics in the region. Under this new setting, how can Singapore ensure that ASEAN continues its relevance and centrality in the region? How can ASEAN respond to this new uncertain and unsettling global landscape? MP Liang Eng Hwa raised these issues in parliament on Monday (Mar 3).
