Committee of Supply 2025 debate, Day 3: Gerald Giam on free or low-cost drinking water
Free or low-cost drinking water should be made more widely available to support healthier choices and reduce unnecessary costs for consumers, said MP Gerald Giam. Speaking in parliament on Tuesday (Mar 4), he urged the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment to encourage, as well as work with food and beverage outlets, shopping malls and heartland coffee shops to provide free or low-cost drinking water.
