Committee of Supply 2025 debate, Day 3: Patrick Tay on enforcing judgements in workplace disputes

01:33 Min

When workplace disputes end up in the civil Courts or Employment Claims Tribunals, workers may win their case but face further problems if the employer is not able or does not want to pay up. Making this point in parliament on Tuesday (Mar 4), MP Patrick Tay said the enforcement process must be improved and expedited to help victims recover their money. He also asked about the Protection from Harassment Act (POHA), which has been around for a decade. Mr Tay wanted to know how many cases, and of what types, have been filed and mediated by the POHA Court.
