Government-funded traineeships for fresh grads to start in Oct with 800 places
A Singapore government-funded programme for graduates will offer up to 800 traineeship spots in private and public sectors. Lasting three to six months, trainees will receive a monthly allowance between S$1,800 and S$2,400. The government will co-fund 70% of the allowance, while the host organisation will fund the remainder. Applications for the Graduate Industry Traineeships programme open in October. Manpower Minister Tan See Leng said more support can be provided if the labour market worsens.
