05:37 Min

Nongsa Digital Park (NDP), a commercial project in Batam that attracts and houses tech talents to support the needs of companies in Singapore and Southeast Asia, is “doing well”, said Minister of State for Trade and Industry Low Yen Ling. Around 1,000 tech talents in NDP are currently servicing some 250 Singapore-based companies. Singapore-based Data Centre (DC) players, such as Princeton Digital Group, GDS Holdings and Gaw Capital, have also announced DC investments in NDP to serve Southeast Asia. Ms Low, who gave this update in reply to an MP’s questions in Parliament on Wednesday (Nov 22), said these projects support the digital economies of Singapore and Indonesia and create jobs for both countries.
