The Land Transport Authority conducts regular enforcement operations to deter and detect illegal vehicle modifications. Cases are also referred to them by the Traffic Police. Individuals or workshops that make illegal modifications and individuals who drive illegally modified vehicles can be fined up to S$5,000 and jailed for up to three months, with the penalties doubling for repeat offenders.
