Tan Si Hui
Tan Si Hui is a correspondent in CNA’s Beijing bureau, where she reports on a wide range of political, economic and social issues related to China.
Prior to her posting, she was a reporter in Singapore on the education beat, covering significant developments such as the removal of the streaming system and changes to school-based assessments.
Si Hui also reported extensively on the COVID-19 pandemic. Other highlights include covering Singapore's General Election in 2020 and Presidential Election in 2023. Si Hui’s past international assignments include the Taiwan Presidential Election in 2024, Malaysia’s 2022 General Election and the deadly Batang Kali landslide in Malaysia. She has also reported on high-level political gatherings such as the 2021 G20 Summit in Italy, attended by then-Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
Si Hui has a Communication Studies degree from Nanyang Technological University's Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information.
