In ‘Made in SG’ Melanie Oliveiro speaks with eco-art creator Cherie Ng who is also the lead artist for the North East Mega Giant Delight installation. It’s part of Giant Delight SG60 - which comes under the PAssionArts Festival – that features 18 super-sized, interactive art installations co-created by artists and residents, each celebrating unique neighbourhood stories across Singapore. Ng will talk about being the lead artist for the North East Mega Giant Delight installation “Living Side by Side”, and how she was involved in a total of 5 out of the 18 Giant Delight installations. Ng will also discuss how she worked with the community to decorate the installations/pods. Joining in the conversation is People’s Association’s Ting Min Er, who leads the Giant Delight programme.

In ‘Destination Anywhere’, Melanie Oliveiro finds out where art lovers can go to see the original works of four legendary Singapore artists: Han Sai Por, Goh Beng Kwan, Ong Kim Seng and the late Chua Ek Kay – all of them Cultural Medallion recipients. Titled “Material Moves” the exhibition celebrates their remarkable contributions and legacy within the local art scene. Ong Kim Seng, world renowned award-winning Singaporean watercolourist will talk about his new artworks, specially created in collaboration with STPI. Curator Dr Adele Tan will discuss how the exhibition came about this SG60 year.

In ‘Culture Club’, Melanie Oliveiro speaks with IanYS, guitarist and songwriter-producer, now representing Singapore on the Grammy-considered LP “World Album”. The album is the first one of its kind in history to feature artists from every country in the world. Ian will talk about his track “The Distance”, created with American singer-songwriter JEMY, which addresses a toxic relationship. He’ll also recall his beginnings in songwriting and how he broke into the Brazilian music scene with his lo-fi single “Idas E Vindas” which garnered over 240,000 streams across various platforms.
