Israel has launched a major ground assault on Gaza City, with Defence Minister Israel Katz declaring that “Gaza is burning.” Tens of thousands of civilians are fleeing south, but many remain trapped amid shortages of food, medical supplies, and shelter. Is Israel confident that Hamas is on the brink of defeat with this assault?
