In ‘Made in SG’, Melanie Oliveiro finds out about Singapore Youth Film Festival (SYFF) 2026 – youth hub *SCAPE’s flagship film platform celebrating emerging local filmmakers and fresh cinematic voices. The festival’s director Shivvani Jegatheesan will describe how SYFF has evolved from The National Youth Film Awards into a full festival platform, and how initiatives like the Film Facilitation Programme support young filmmakers from script to screen. Jegatheesan will also highlight some of the SYFF films for listeners, as this year’s programme features 44 nominated short films, and will also highlight the SYFF Cinema & Talks events.
