Lasanka Perera is a co-founder of cryptocurrency exchange Independent Reserve and CEO of its Singapore office, which was among the first such companies to be granted a license by the Monetary Authority of Singapore in 2021. When he was a boy, Lasanka's family left Sri Lanka in the midst of its civil war, and resettled in Sydney. Lasanka shares how his enthusiastic embrace of sports and his parents' work ethic helped him bounce back from early setbacks — and other lessons on life and leadership he'd write in his letter to his younger self.
