Philip Forrest doesn't believe in retirement. Having stepped away from a top banking position in his fifties, he's spent the last 18 years contributing his decades of corporate experience as an independent director to a host of companies, and as a mentor to aspiring company directors. Philip, a Queensland native who's been living in Singapore since 1991, was recognised for his work in building Australia-Singapore business ties, by being made a Member of the prestigious Order of Australia in 2022. Philip shares what drives him, and what led him to run his first half-marathon at a season of life when others are slowing down.
