In ‘Destination Anywhere’, Melanie Oliveiro listens in on the travel tales of Adam Loo, founder of The Oyster Cart, a premier oyster bar in Singapore. Loo will recall an early trip backpacking in Europe where he was surviving on a tight budget of bread and sandwiches. But it wasn’t until he reached Nice, the cultural capital of the elegant French Riviera, where he started pampering his tastebuds with a seafood platter containing oysters. He’ll then recall a trip to Venice, Italy where he enjoyed snacking from oyster carts along the street. All these culinary experiences abroad and more inspired Loo to establish The Oyster Cart in 2013.
