Daily Cuts - 10 years of BRI but was it a success?
The third Belt and Road Forum has come to a close. Over 130 countries were represented at the two-day summit in the capital Beijing. In his speech, President Xi Jinping promised foreign companies more access to the Chinese market. He also pledged more than $100 billion in new financing for other developing economies. Prof Shahar Hameiri from the School of Political Science and International Studies at the University of Queensland tells Arnold & Andrea if the BRI has been a success.
