In ‘Culture Club’, Melanie Oliveiro speaks with local author Fairoz Ahmad about his novel “Neverness”, which is about how the young residents of a 1970s Singapore kampong unite to search for Alia, a village girl and fellow schoolmate who mysteriously disappears one fateful night. Fairoz will talk more about this coming-of-age historical novel and the research he did to capture what it was like to live in the now long-gone Kampong Lorong Engku Aman.
