Melanie Oliveiro finds out where audience members can go – in Singapore – to watch a series of performances with a difference. The DanceXR Showcase merges computer-generated XR environments with physical theatre in a series of performance events themed, “New Worlds. New Experiences”.  Several dance works will be presented on 27 and 28 January 2024. The shows’ co-producer & tech firm Avventura explains how positioning XR performances could serve as a forward-looking approach to future-proof the local performing arts industry.
