Daily Cuts - Kevin McCarthy is no longer US House Speaker

Kevin McCarthy has been voted out as House Speaker. This is after Florida congressman Matt Gaetz introduced the bill for his removal on Monday. Lawmakers voted 216 for (versus 210 against) the motion — and that included nearly all Democrats present. McCarthy is the first House Speaker in American history to get the boot. Vote for new House speaker is expected to be next week.
