Daily Cuts - A Letter to Myself: How Ganesh Kumar planted seeds of healing in Woodlands

During a period of personal grief, Ganesh Kumar planted the first seeds of a hibiscus on a barren hillside in Woodlands, as a personal tribute to his late mother. A garden soon took shape, and along with it, a community blossomed, drawn to the therapeutic environment of Ganesh's labour of love. Today the Woodlands Botanic Garden spans 4,000 square metres and consists of over 350 species of plants and more than 60 species of butterflies. Ganesh Kumar, who's the founder of and chairman of the Woodlands Botanic Garden, shares the moving story of how the garden grew, the special place it has in his community's heart, and the lessons it's taught him.
