Daily Cuts - Managing the danger of falling trees in a garden city

A large tree toppled in front of City Plaza on Sunday afternoon, causing damage to a number of cars. We also occasionally read reports of people being injured or even killed by falling trees. Dr Shawn Lum, Asian School of the Environment, NTU, tells us more about the science and methods of mitigating such damage and injury in a “garden city” lush with trees.
