Health Minister Ong Ye Kung said a few days ago, that Singapore is experiencing a new COVID-19 wave. Meaning more people are expected to fall sick in coming weeks. 3 years ago, we would have made a big deal out of this. But now, we’re focusing on our future response should there be another pandemic. Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong says ‘trust’ is the 'most precious resource' critical in Singapore's Covid-19 response. One study shows higher levels of trust in the government and among the population means greater compliance with Covid-19 restrictions and higher vaccination rates. Dr Vincent Pang, Assistant Professor, Duke-NUS Medical School, tells Arnold & Andrea that trust is not created overnight.
