    In ‘Culture Club’, Melanie Oliveiro speaks with Tony Quek, Artistic Director and Frederick Soh, Playwright/Composer for “Ada Kerak: Ada Nasi”,  the 30th production staged by Gunong Sayang Association. Set in modern-day Singapore, the play revolves around the Tan family, Matriarch Gan Guek Neo, her three adult daughters and how family secrets unravel them. Quek and Soh discuss how the play was conceptualised, a new generation of actors keen on exploring their Peranakan heritage, as well as how choreography and a live cello performance will be incorporated into the production.
