It’s been almost 30 years since her former boss refused to grant her leave to attend to her theatre projects and snapped at her “if you love theatre so much, why don’t you do theatre full-time?” Which she promptly did. Tan Beng Tian is a Chinese puppet-maker and puppeteer and founded puppet theatre company The Finger Players back in 1993. She also spent one and a half years training under a master puppeteer in Quanzhou, China. In recent years, she has striven to make her shows more accessible to the deaf & hard-of-hearing community.

Anson Ng is the founder of 好人好事 Hao Ren Hao Shi, which helps needy cancer patients and their families. Together with a group of friends, he founded the organisation to promote the spirit of volunteerism and build a strong community of volunteers.
