Bidding of SLE licence plate series to begin on May 27: LTA
SINGAPORE — Looking for that lucky car licence plate? From 8am on May 27, you can bid for car registration numbers 1 to 9999 in the new SLE series.
The exercise will end at 4.30pm on June 1. Results will be available on the ONE.MOTORING website from 4pm on June 9. The minimum bid amount is S$1,000. Offers higher than S$1,000 will have to be made in multiples of S$1.
Bids can be submitted at the first floor of the Land Transport Authority’s office at 10 Sin Ming Drive. Applicants can also collect the relevant paperwork from the office, which is open from 6am to midnight daily, including weekends and public holidays. However, bids can only be submitted between 8am and midnight on Friday, 6am to midnight between Saturday and Tuesday, and 6am to 4.30pm.
Bidding sums must be paid in full by Cashier’s Order made payable to the Land Transport Authority. Cheques and cash will not be accepted.
Successful applicants will be able to start using their new registration numbers from June 10.
Registration numbers can only be used for the registration of a new car or the replacement of an existing car’s registration number. The numbers are non-transferable.
