SINGAPORE — The Ministry of Health (MOH) is contacting all visitors to a karaoke outlet at the HomeTeamNS Khatib clubhouse on Aug 1 and 2, and facilitating Covid-19 testing for them, after three infected persons were found to have been there.

The three cases had visited the yet-to-be-opened Jewel Music Box KTV outlet on Aug 1 and 2. Two of them were there for long periods for work purposes, said MOH in a press release on Saturday (Aug 15).

Visitors had been invited to preview the new KTV premises on those two days, most of them staying for “a short period of time”.

“The KTV was not operational during the visits and there were no singing activities held. Therefore the risk of infection for visitors is assessed to be low,” said the ministry, which is contacting all the visitors to the KTV on the two days as a precautionary measure.

Those who are unwell when contacted will be taken to hospital for further medical assessment.

The ministry advised all visitors to the outlet during the affected dates to monitor their health and seek medical attention promptly should they develop acute respiratory infection symptoms.

They may also call MOH at 1800-333-9999 if they have queries.
