Editors’ options after suspension

While the Broadcasting Act has provisions for Singaporean Yang Kaiheng and Australian Ai Takagi to appeal to the Minister for Communications and Information against the suspension of their class licence, they chose to take their site offline.

Going forward, the couple have to submit information relating to their operations and demonstrate by May 11 why the licence should not be cancelled. Following this, if the MDA still decides to cancel the licence, the pair will again have the option of an appeal.
